Misfits

Misfits

He is not right for you.
That’s not how you do it.
You are wrong.
You can’t marry her.

So you frequently learn what is right and what is wrong. Sometimes you correct your self out of compulsion. It’s the best way that you make yourself fit in this PERFECT world.

But the question is, is to fit in to this world your purpose? Is that what your up bringing is all about?

A fish can swim as soon as it is born. But we need a lot of nurturing and protection at the earlier stages of our lives. These are the stages where we are moulded. I think that what makes us to be the smartest species on this planet. We question things, we learn things. But then comes the rules.

My understanding, this world is afraid of our questions. It is afraid that we might question its ways. So they made rules and if we don’t abide by them we are called misfits. You are supposed to get a career by 24. You are supposed to marry by 30. Supposed to have a child by 33. Supposed to earn a lot of money. Supposed to make a lot of friends. Supposed to buy things. Supposed to retire by 60. Then you fit in. Then you are accepted.

But if you choose out of this circle, you are a misfit. From the beginning of the times we hate things which we don’t understand. We keep them far. So they ask us,  do you want to fit in or not?

May be some don’t want to fit in. May be they are wrong, may be they are right. But they live by their own rules and they are content.

I always believe we have the right to live by our terms and we have the right to end it by our terms. I have failed to understand this world. I don’t want to fit in to this world. But I gave up. I lost. I have no respect towards this system anymore. There so much wrong in this world. So much of anger in me. I failed. I started practicing hatred now. I can’t act anymore. I’m tired.

May be 100 years from now...there will be a lot of misfits. May be it will be OK to be a misfit, one day.
